Medicaid Waivers

Medicaid waivers allow a person who qualifies for services in a nursing home or intermediate care facility for people with intellectual disabilities (ICFID) to receive services in their own home and community. The Division serves people who qualify for and receive Medicaid waiver services and those whose services are funded by non-Medicaid sources.

The Division of Services for People with Disabilities administers the following three Medicaid waivers with the assistance of the Dept. of Heath, Division of Healthcare Finance: Applicants must first be determined eligible for Division state-funded services. Medicaid waiver eligibility is determined after the Applicant is removed from the waiting list.
